I really enjoyed this film and thought it was funny too. I have, though, found out after the fact that this story seems to be extremely debated, with Frito-Lay even denying Richard’s involvement in Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Most seem to agree that Richard lied about this story and about inventing the product.

Richard Montanez, the son of a Mexican immigrant, was a janitor at Frito-Lay when he came up with the idea for Flamin' Hot Cheetos. His creation, inspired by the flavours of his community, revitalised Frito-Lay and disrupted the food industry.
